Second Orientation, Orientation in Wellington...

Since my last post I've had a second orientation which means 2 more to go. And I also went up to Wellington to meet all of the other MOE AFS students, which was only for a day.

I still don't know where I'll be staying in Argentina but I did have a weird dream last night.. I dreamed that I was already in Argentina and that I was in a place called Formosa and I was talking to Julian and we were arranging how he could meet me as it was quite far from BS. AS. I woke up and all day I kept thinking of this place "Formosa" even though I had never heard of it and I didn't even know it existed... So because I was so curious, I decided to search for Formosa on google. What did I learn? That it IS a place in Argentina. So, I dreamed of staying in a place I initially had never heard about yet it was in my dream...
Prehaps I'll be off to Formosa??? hahaha...

I guess I'll have to wait and see until I actually get a host family...

Haven't updated in a while...

I have just come back from Thailand, the Land of Smiles, therefore haven't updated this blog for a while. I also haven't really had anything to put into it.

But, when I arrived home on Tuesday night, I found a big AFS envelope waiting for me. What a surprise after coming home from sitting on planes and in airports and travelling for 24 hours. Inside I found something I had been waiting a long time for...A departure date! Kathy our exchange student ran beside me to have a look at why I was so excited. :) So, I'll leave NZ on July 30th and return back on January 12th.

I now have to sort all of my visa stuff out. It is supposed to be due in on April 27th, but I have to organise so much stuff, as I got this information late due to me being on holiday =[ Luckily, I have got a few extra days on top of that to try and finish everything.

But the best thing is that I have a DEPARTURE date!

1st Orientation

Today was our first Orientation. Nothing much happened though. We did some activities - which made us really think. We had to do things such as write down 10 things we did each day, and then how important they were to us - which ones we would miss doing the most while we were away, and whether we did them in a group or individually etc... Then we did some activities about family and achievements etc... We also had to describe ourselves both positively and negatively... which was really hard.

I learned quite a lot of new things about Argentina which I didn't know about. It is sure going to be interesting to see if all of these things are true lol.

-1 Orientation down, 3 to go.
Next orientation is May 6th - right before we go to Head Office in Wellington :)

-And still agesssssss until I'm actually in Argentina :(

The first entry.

This is my first entry on this blog. I made this so everyone back here in New Zealand can check regularly to see what I have been doing, and hopefully... (if it works) see photos of my trip.

I will also put any updates I have about my departure etc... on here when I know them.
